I'm yet to confirm if this is really Albert Einstein though. But still, it's very convincing. :)

End secularism
Why is the professor even talking about these things? Look at the blackboard, it's probably math or physics. Why would you prove that He is evil?

"Study without reflection is a waste of time; reflection without study is dangerous."
-Confucius
Ask yourself, why are you studying? What is your goal? What motivates you to study? or who? Do you love what you are doing? Will this make you happy in the long run?
Diligence is love of work. It is not the same with hardwork.
(notice here that work also includes study)
Are you diligent or are you just hardworking?
If you do not reflect, there will be no action. Thoughts without actions are pointless. Selfish creature, always thinking of yourself. What use has your intellect if you shall not use it for your fellow men?
Learn to do what you love and love what you do, but only after knowing what love is.
Do you want to be successful?
The link below is a list of six things which I think are very important in excelling in anything. The six points were written by this dude named Derek Sivers, who is apparently someone very good in music. The list also applies to other things though, not just music. You can follow it if you want to learn a language, write a literary piece, get better in math, and many more. All you need is the desire, the determination, and the diligence. (and of course, these six points).

Second Semester
I just realized now that I haven't been blogging. One post in October, way to go. :))
So, why am I not blogging recently? I just realized that you have to have sense when you blog. It's not enough that you just say random things. There must have to be a rationale to what you right. Else, it is pointless. Nobody really needs to know the small details of your life. The most important thing in life is your "ultimate end". What is the purpose of your life? What are you trying to do? What makes you happy? The little details of my experiences only matter if they have something to do with the said end.
Sounds so... profound? Well, it's because it is profound. :)) You might hate me for making this decision, but believe me, it's the right thing. :))
Except less posts from now on. In the meantime, read a book.

I should seriously take my studies seriously now.
I think I could get a 1.0 on Math, Geog 1 and Phys 10. What I'm worried about is Eng 1 and Kas 1. I only crammed a requirement for Eng 1 last night and it wasn't even complete. I haven't contributed to our group in Kas 1 and I didn't even attend a single field trip.

Boriiiiing.
All of my September posts so far don't have any images on them. My blog looks so dull. -_-
Anyway, my friend told me that there was not Kasaysayan 1 class today. And so, I decided to go to school at 1pm. (Kas 1 is 11:30. Math 17 is 8:30. I skipped that since I didn't want to wake up early just for that and then wait until 1 for my next class >_>) And so I DID decide on going to school 1pm. But then, that same friend texted me at around 12 saying "San ka?". I said I was at home. And he replied, "May Kas ngayooon." That's just great.
(...well okay lang. 3rd cut ko palang ata. 6 naman yung max. =)))
After that it was PE. What happened in PE? Maybe you'd want to know my PE first. Stretching. Yes, stretching. DON'T JUDGE ME! Before you laugh, try attending that class. Let's see if you won't get DOMS for the next two days.
As I was saying, PE was dumb. You wanna know why? 'Cause the topic was stretching for pregnancy. I mean, what the hell? Why would I need that? I'm not gonna be pregnant someday. And it was boring too! -___- (Mas gusto ko pa yung stretching for musicians last week)
And you know what happened after PE? My Physics 10 class was canceled. The prof didn't attend. Well, that's just stupid. I went to school just for a lousy PE. Should've stayed at home and read The Mythology Class instead... which was also stupid. Why the heck didn't I bring it to UP? I was forced to STUDY MATH for TWO HOURS because I had to wait for my brother, whose class ends at SIX. That was ample time to finish the damn book! *sigh*
Well, I'm not really angry or sad or anything. :)) I just thought that if I put more emotion to the post, it would compensate for the liveliness usually brought by the images. :)) Anyway, that's it.
(...and the other reason for this long-ish post was that you're not online yet. Di ko tuloy makwento. Pshh.)

Hypocrite 2
Hypocrite? Yes, I'm a hypocrite. But I didn't tell you to tolerate my hypocrisy. I didn't tell you to be proud if you're a hypocrite too. It's evil. It's a sin. It's a mortal sin. I blogged about it so people would avoid being one. So avoid being one.
Pampanga
I feel so fulfilled recently. First, I was invited to come with my friend to Pampanga to conduct a seminar called Essentials of Leadership. Oliver Tuazon was the one who gave the talk and I was his asisstant (a.k.a. PowerPoint presentation maker). Yesterday, on the way home to Manila, he talked to me and said that I should give the make-up talk for the people who will come next week but weren't around last Saturday. That means I'll be going back to Pampanga, not just to make a PowerPoint, but also to talk in a seminar! Now that's something. :))
Sounds boring, yes? :)) I should get used to it. I'll probably be doing the same thing for the next few decades. :))

I saw this on your tumblr
I want a guy best friend who gets mistaken as my boyfriend. A guy best friend is everything you need. Another boy who makes your life complete. A boy who I can run to when my girl BFFs aren’t around. He’ll kick my future boyfriend’s arse when he makes me cry. He’ll make me laugh when there’s tears in my eyes. He is immediately my date on special occasions when you’re single. Idk why. But I really need a guy best friend. A real guy best friend.
I shall kick his ass. =))

Hypocrite
I tell them not to cram, but I stay up all night trying to finish a paper due the next day.
I tell them to go to confession, but I haven't even been to confession for months.
I tell them not to speak so much about green stuff, but I always laugh at those jokes anyway.
I tell them not to watch porn and abstain, but I... well... yeah.
I tell them not to lie, but I'm even worse.
So what's the point in believing me?

Procrastination
CRAMMING IS BAD.
My PE teacher gave an assignment that required pictures to be taken, to be printed, and to be pasted on a notebook. It was due a week later - a Friday. I did what a typical high schooler would do - I crammed.
It was Thursday and I arrived at home quite late. I realized that I hadn't done my PE assignment yet, so I got a random camera and turned it on, but the batter was really really low, so I charged it first. After a while, I turned the camera again and asked someone to take pictures of me doing some stretching routines (which is the requirement for the assignment). I uploaded the images to the computer and laid it out on a Word document.
As I printed the document, lo and behold, I had no colored ink. So I asked around on Y!M if anyone is kind enough to print me a two-page colored document. I asked and asked and asked, and finally found someone who would print my homework. Luckily, he's free in the morning and is kind enough to wake up extra early just to give me the paper. (FYI, he's from Ateneo) It was around 12mn when I finally got to sleep.
The next day, we met in Jollibee at 8:30AM (Apparently, he had breakfast in Jollibee). The only thing to do now is to cut the pictures and paste them on my journal. I went to my 8:30AM class and wasted time until around 11:00AM. Suddenly, I realized I didn't have scissors and glue. So I went to the shopping center, just to find the bookstore CLOSED.
I didn't want to panic, so I ate at Rodic's first - a very very stupid move. That made me pay P70 for a meal. (Lutong Bahay is much cheaper. P40.00) Because of that, I didn't have any money except for a few change. With the bookstore closed, I took a jeep to Katipunan.
I got off in front of BDO so I could withdraw some cash, which I desperately needed. Since there was heavy traffic, I walked all the way to National Bookstore instead of taking another jeep or riding a tricycle, not minding the slight pain I might feel in my left ankle (which I did after a while).
I arrived at NBS and got the things I needed. It was 12:20PM. My class was at 1PM. I left the store and went to the nearby Jollibee (the same Jollibee I went to in the morning) to do my homework in around twenty minutes. I finally finished and rode a jeep back to UP, and another jeep to the gym. Luckily for me, I arrived just in time.
Lesson learned: Don't ever cram. Or at least, if you're gonna cram, make sure you have all the necessary materials to do so.

Wednesdays with Nery
Long breaks would normally cause boredom, but today was not a normal day. I actually used all my time productively. Let me recount what had happened today...
I woke up at 7am and was ready to go to school at 8am for my 8:30am Math 17 class. Sadly, my driver arrived at 8:45am. Luckily, my professor doesn't check attendance. So instead of going to class, I studied at home instead. I studied for three hours since I'll be having an exam the next day. After three studious hours, I ate my lunch, rested a bit, and went to school for PE.
I don't really do anything in PE since I'm injured, so instead of just watching my classmates stretch their hearts out, I studied math some more. After PE, I went straight to my next class, Physics 10. We got the results of the first exam, and discussed a bit.
My class ended at 3:45PM and I went to Kapuluan, a study center, to meet with someone. I met with him since we were to teach little kids the alphabet. We finally meet and we walked to the nearby San Vicente Elementary School, or something like that. We taught Grade 1 kids the letters A, B, C and D. We were teaching them until it was around 5pm.
It was raining really hard so we waited in the school for a while, hoping that the rain would somehow be lighter. Eventually, we left the school to go back to Kapuluan. We arrived at the center at around 5:30PM, wet and tired. I studied some more math until it was 6pm.
Six o'clock means it's time for the Christian Doctrine Class (or CDC for short). The priest discussed freedom, morals, and merits. I learned a lot from that class.
The CDC ends at 7pm and I could finally go home! So we did (me and my sophomore brother). We arrived home at around 8pm. It took us twice as long to get home because of an abnormally heavy traffic on Ortigas and the floodway.
Finally, I got home and had dinner. I went upstairs and chatted with Elora [I deserve a break, okay. =))] while applying the finishing touches on my first term paper for English 1 which is due the next day. (Take note: I was applying the finishing touches, not typing it from the start. Cramming is bad :|) When she left, Ivan invited me to a conference. As I was reading what the people were typing in the conference, I was thinking about my AIESEC group. (for those of you who still don't know, I'm the leader of this group) Our agenda is to recruit interns, send them abroad, and make sure that they have the desire to become AIESEC members when they get back home. I was planning and thinking of projects and activities to make it happen. I'm scheduling meetings just to make sure that every single member is doing his job, and actually have a job assigned to him.
At 11:30PM everything was now finished except for printing the stuff. I printed my two-page paper and did an errand for my other brother by printing three copies of his resume (a total of six pages). And by the way, I did all that with the lights out, since the printer is in our room and my other brother is already sleeping. All I have to do now is to wake up tomorrow at 5:20am.
Yes, I will be having five hours of sleep. I will be going to mass at 6:45AM in Kapuluan, and do some last-minute studying for math. I'll leave the center at around 8:15AM so I can arrive on time for my math exam. My exam will end at around 10AM and the next thing to do is to pass my paper to my English 1 professor. My English 1 class, my last class for the day, will end at 11:30AM. That will finally be my last class for the day, but that doesn't mean I'm done already.
After my class, I'll go to the shopping center (Don't let the name fool you. It's not much of a shopping center at all) and have lunch. After that, go to confession. After that, go to my meeting at the BA building with my AIESEC group at around 1PM. After that, THEN I can relax.
So why am I still blogging despite everything? Meh. I just wanted to document what had happened. This is probably my most stressful two-day period ever. This is also probably my longest blog post ever. Nevertheless, I'm narrating this to show you guys that you people are not the only ones experiencing stressful moments, that I can, in fact, use my time productively in contrast to what I've been doing in high school, that I am not the lazy bum I used to be, and that I will do whatever it takes to prepare myself to the outside world.
I want to learn as much as I can and to give as much as I can to be very prepared for the corporate world. Maybe you're thinking that freshie year is a year to relax. I beg to differ. Our first year in college is our chance to invest on knowledge. We have so much free time, so let's use it productively.
*bow*
...and yes, this happens every Wednesday.

I had my first advanced BA 99.1 lecture earlier this afternoon. Well, he gave me an exam about everything I've learned last year. @-) It was a bit hard but still fun though. I still like accounting. :))

Stress! ...finally?
There was supposed to be an online conference last night but the damn internet connection was down again. Fortunately, it's okay right now, but I don't know when it'll have problems again. Now I have to prepare that presentation for AIESEC.
Schedule:
Friday:
9pm-___ - Making of a raw powerpoint
Saturday:
8am-12pm - AIESEC meeting
1pm-4pm - Project Presentation (which I won't be attending)
2pm-4pm - Advanced BA 99.1 Class
Sunday:
6:30-11am - Recollection
...and finally rest. Well, after that, I have my English 1 midterms on Tuesday, Math 17 2.2 Exam, and Deadline for English 1 1st Term Paper and Geog 1 Film Review on Thursday, and Math 17 midterms on Monday. And of course, the AIESEC thing isn't done yet after the project presentation. It's Internship Month and it's only been two weeks.
Plus, I won't be able to play for my team during BACBACAN (which is our college intrams) two weeks from now. Damn sprain.
And don't get me wrong, I'm not regretting applying for AIESEC. I think this is good stress. And I also think it's a good preparation for my later years in UP and in my career. That's something I should be optimistic about. :)

ACAMP
Remember I was gone for the weekend? This was why I wasn't online for a few days. ACAMP was this activity somewhere in Rizal where we were supposed to understand in a deeper level what AIESEC is and what AIESEC does. We had talks, workshops, and of course, the party. It was the wildest thing ever!
Other things about the picture:
- the one holding the banana, Judd, is the president of AIESEC UPD
- the only girl, Fen, was from MC [kanina ko lang nalaman yun =))]
- my mentor, Fua, is wearing Ash's hat :o

If this won't work, nothing will.
Idiot James just had to break the hearts of Clevelanders just to get a ring, and I say "Clevelanders" to refer to them as a whole, not just Cavs fans. Apparently, Cleveland games [starred by LeBron] had been raking in around $150 million a year worth of tickets, merchandise, hotel bookings, and many more things. If the Cavs won't put up a fight, fans would lose the desire to watch their games. Cleveland had already been hit hard by the recession and their only light was LeBron, their "King". Now that the King is gone, Cleveland might not even bother being a member of the NBA anymore. Maybe they'll be going for the first round pick next year?

If you can answer this in less than 6 minutes, you're not human.
I probably worked on this problem for around 15 minutes and got bored so I didn't get to finish it. Well, my brother answered it in six minutes while I was watching. I couldn't believe my eyes. He's an even bigger math genius than I am.
[For those brave enough to accept the challege, comment below your answer and time. But I doubt anyone would be doing that. :))]
For those wanting a more challenging challenge, try factoring x3 – 19x + 30 in less than a minute. Yes, he did it in less than a minute. Guess how long it took me to solve that? Ten minutes. Probably longer if my professor didn't give us the next step. He seems to know all the shortcuts in algebra.

The Miseducation of the Filipino
This essay by Renato Constantino is so ironic. He keeps on promoting the Filipino language and says that teaching in English is somewhat toxic. Then why the hell did he present his arguments in English? Shouldn't he had written it in Filipino?
Other than that, the essay was very relevant, interesting, and meaningful. You should read it when you have the time. Lots of free time.

Seminars
I should get used to that. It's better that way. They say you learn more things in attending forums and seminars more than attending your classes. [But yeah, you should still attend your classes. Forums and seminars aren't credited.] Only if I can convince my college acquaintances/friends to do so too. :)) That would be so beneficial to them.
On a completely different note, seminar is not equal to seminary.

Work work...
College suddenly became really stressful. WTF? I'm just a freshman. FRESHman. Ibig sabihin dapat hindi pa pinapahirapan para magstay fresh for the rest of the year :-" Pero whyyyyy. @_@
I'm now a coordinator of this seminar thingy on Essentials of Leadership. Basically, it's a leadership seminar, but how can I become a coordinator of such a seminar if I haven't even been to a single leadership seminar in my entire life? @_@ It's not graded. It's not even for school, but something in it makes you guilty if you wouldn't do a good job. The community that handles it is a very Christian community called Opus Dei. [You can research about that. I don't have time to explain for now] It would seem like a SIN to not cooperate. :| But wait, there's more. There's a 10 o'clock mass on Saturday in honor of Opus Dei's patron saint, St. Josemaria Escriva. The thing is, I have this orientation seminar with AIESEC [an int'l org] from 9 to 11. :| If I don't go to the seminar, I would be missing a lot - programs, activities, FRIENDS. If I DO go to the seminar, I would again seem to be a sinner to choose the seminar over going to mass. :| What a dilemma!
Anyway, I have more important things to do right now than blogging. [Sorry blog :(] I have to go now. This English 1 creative essay won't write itself!
On a completely different note, I, together with two friends, saw Windsor and Karen eating lunch. So we hung around for a while. When we parted with Windsor and Karen, my friends were like, "Girlfriend?" =))))) Nah. I don't think they are.
...or are they? :-?

Where to eat?
This time we tried having lunch at the Economics building. Why? They have air-con. B-)
Too bad the food was pretty expensive... and unappetizing. Rodic's is way better. [Best tapsilog ever!!] Then again, it's also a bit expensive... Then it's down to that pasta place by the main library. :))
Now, where should I eat tomorrow?
On a completely different note... nakita ko si Miss Mariel kanina sa Ortigas. \:D/ Mas weird na yung hair nya. @_@

It's really convenient to have someone you know as a blockmate. Better yet, if he you have the same classes everyday. You wouldn't need to make a schedule since you could just copy and paste, like what I did above. :))
There are some cons though, but I wouldn't want to expound on that. :))

We went all the way from Diliman to Ortigas just to get our hands on some milk tea. :))
On a completely different note, there was a fire in UP last night, causing all the Palma Hall classes to be suspended today and yesterday. Two of my classes were there, so I only took one class today. :))

UP life has been really awesome so far. The only downside is that you're so tired to do anything by the end of the day. I've only been going to UP regularly for three days and I've had so many experiences already I could make a comic book! Well, if I had the skill to make one. Too bad I'm not a good artist.
On a side not, Physics 10 was awesome. Air-con room! And the prof dismissed us 30 minutes early :)) I think I'll be liking Physics. It has the nicest building among my classes. :)) And they say it's really easy too [It's not your typical high school physics. It's an easier version, more on astronomy even]

Best Class Ever!
GEOG 1.
The room has air-con! \:D/ But the sad thing is, it's so small. Parang naglagay lang ng sandamukal na chairs sa janitor's closet. :)) Pero, who cares? Basta may air-con! Wooo!
Start ng class: 1:00PM. Jet and I arrived at around 1:05. There's a 15 minute grace period so no worries. :)) Our prof was checking the attendance when we got in. She then gave us an assignment, bring index card blah. And then...
Prof: Next meeting nalang ung introductions and syllabus. May attendance na kayo, may assignment na kayo. So, ano sa tingin nyo ibig sabihin non?
Class: Uhh.. we can go?
Prof: *smiles and points at the door*
Class: ...
Best. Class. Ever. =))))
[Ang cool mo prof pero sorry di ko alam name mo :))]
On a completely different note, our class before that was Eng 1. The professor didn't come. :))

Zeroth Day of Classes
My mom woke me up at 6am, but I only managed to get up 40 minutes later. I ate breakfast, took a shower, clipped my nails; my brother was supposed to come with me since he was going to pay for his tuition but he felt like sleeping a little bit more, so of I go to UP.
I was supposed to meet Jet at the CBA building [College of Business Administration] at 7:30, but I arrived at 7:45am. The orientation was at 8. Jet, who even said we should meet earlier [7am], arrived at 8.
The orientation ended at 11, and then Jet and I bonded with our blockmates. We rode the Toki, we rode it through its whole route. We arrived back at the CBA building and chat[ted? di eh.] with each other. Windsor appeared from out of nowhere and the three of us [Jet, Windsor and I] continued our journey.
Jet went to Katipunan and Windsor and I went on our way to LSGH; I was going to get my transcript sent to the UP Registrar [where we met Coach Ding and chat[ted? ano ba talagaaa] for a while about how suckish this year's PE]. After that, we met with Sir Marlo. He said he was obese and needed exercise. [=))] We rode the elevator while using the phone. We went inside the work area. Nothing is prohibited and no place is forbidden. Thank God we're alumni. :)) [By the way, Sir Ants was slacking off inside.]
We went to the 4A classroom. We saw Ms. Sandra. She said, "WHOAAA Anong ginagawa nyo dito?" with those big eyes. =))))) She was adviser of 4B. Then we saw Sir Jun. He's the new adviser of 4A. We found out that Ms. Vicky was already married. :P
At around 4:30pm, we decided to leave LSGH. We went to 7-11. Windsor mixed the two Mountain Dews together. :)) Then we rode the MRT. I said good-bye to Windsor as I got out at the Cubao station, where I walked to Monpee's house. He was playing a Bio Hazard kind of CS. :)) We ate dinner. I out'ed some bad innards [lol translation: ako'y naglabas ng sama ng loob] and went home after a few more minutes. Now I'm resting in front of the computer. My legs are killing me! @_@

It's obvious that I'm not yet ready to go to college. I haven't even sent my transcript yet. @_@

Guess who's back
Internet at last! [More than a week na walang internet. 15 lang tuloy posts ng May :-L] And I'm back from Davao too. I'm not on my usual station though. I'm using my brother's computer because he'll be away for three days. He has Mirror's Edge. :)) I'm planning on finishing it before he comes back...

12 signs to know if you haven't moved on yet
1. When you think of the person more often than not.
2. When you think about him/her even though you don’t want to.
3. When you keep mentally reliving past memories with him/her, usually the happy/sweet ones.
4. When he/she comes to mind the first instant when you are down and out.
5. When you still have questions and resignations about the past. You wonder what could have been or why didn’t it turn out a certain way.
6. When you assign blame for the way things turned out, whether it’s to him/her, yourself or the circumstance.
7. When thought/sight of him/her trigger certain emotional reactions, such as aversion, anxiety, frustration, resignation.
8. When you keep trying to improve yourself because you feel you were not good enough.
9. When you have a desire to spite him/her, as a way of making him/her regret for whatever happened.
10. When you often bring up the person in your conversations, even when there is no relation.
11. When you have a desire or urge to contact him/her even though you previously told yourself you didn’t want to.
12. When you find yourself living out the same looping patterns. A very common example would be on-again, off-again relationships with that person. Or a lingering state of relationship that doesn’t get anywhere. Even if you are with other people, if the relationships act out in the same pattern as the past, it reflects you have not moved on. There’s a part of you entrenched in the past which is making the same situation reenact itself, just with a different person.

I still can't believe I maxed out that line count with 999. Could've maxed out the level count too if I weren't sleepy. I started at 11PM and I slept at around 2AM. :)) I thought it was impossible to max out all the counters. I guess not. Practice lang kelangan. :))

Boston wins!
They didn't do a good job during the regular season. [Despite having four all-star players and a point guard with a very high potential, they finished the regular season with the fourth playoff birth.] They were meant to be beaten by Miami, but, wow. They are a changed team when they entered the playoffs. So much for Cleveland finally claiming the title. The Cavs are like the Dallas team five years ago - so formidable but just couldn't get that trophy.
Will the Lakers repeat? Will Nash finally get a ring? Will Orlando continue its 8-0 streak? Will the Celtics get their 18th? I hope it's the second one. :))
And... well... let the image do the talking. :))

We are all frustrated writers
Many people think they're so into music that they should form a band.
Many people think their lives are so interesting that they should write a novel.
Many people think their imaginations are so amazing that they should create a videogame.
What's worse? Some people think they're so good that they think all of the above.
Everyone wants to be famous and not be famous. What the hell?
Well, that's what friends are for. At least, there will be some people who will appreciate your work.

Too Lazy For Kumon
Lately, my dashboard here has been displaying lorenz namalata's entries. Where are the others? Where are the two Paos?
I'm trying to cram my Kumon as usual. Stupid combo breaker.

I don't blog to impress people, I blog to express myself
-from Lorenz' blog" Only strangers are allowed to read this. I miss the time when I can blog freely. Not knowing who read this or that, thus not being too sensitive about who's feelings might get bashed with what I write. But the main reason why this blog was created was for my honest thoughts and opinions to have a home and as you know my blog doesn't fit any genre of blogging other than just being a personal website. I still believe in maintaining one with the main goal of expressing one's self rather than to impress. I still believe in blogging about something that's more for my own fulfillment and not minding what my friends will say. I'm grateful to the people who take time to read, react and interact with me but I guess there's some truth to this: "Sometimes it's easier to talk to a stranger than to a friend." And honestly, I wish you are a stranger so that I could talk more fluidly. Thanks for reading, stranger. :) Don't be my friend. :) "
Lorenz usually writes substantial entries. That's why I like reading his blog. :))

My best friend blogged about me.
She's so awesome. She's leaving soon for US though. Monday @_@ She won't be around for two weeks. -_-
There's a lot of things to do while she's away, like playing the guitar, reading Jane Austen, and watching sitcoms. But of course, I'll still miss her. :)
Sorry nga pala na di ako nakapunta dun kina Pao kahapon. I hope you understand pero I don't want to blame you [anymore] if you refuse to do so. :))

UP, UP, why have you forsaken me?
I didn't have a medical certificate. Jet didn't have a medical certificate. It was one of the requirements, but we didn't believe the paper. We were so stupid!
Now I have to take a medical exam and submit the certificate by Friday. That would be nearly impossible, so I'll probably be enrolling on the 1st of June instead, together with the upperclassmen I presume. Sucks to be me.

Onwards To Success!
I'm off to UP Diliman tomorrow to enroll. It's quite frustrating though, since I really don't know if I'm complete with the requirements. I don't even know how much I should be paying. @-)
On a completely different note, my dad bought a Card Reader. You all know what that means. :> =))

I bought a Nintendo DS!
Yes. And it's not 7.7K! It's seven thousand freaking pesos! I'm playing Pokemon Platinum now, and I can't wait to play DS with my friends. :)) [Mario Kart :> :>]
On a completely different note, the Nuggets lost the series 4-2. :( So much for winning the title. [Other teams that lost that I wanted to win: Mavericks, Heat]

Midnight Radio
I'm back from a loooong blog break. I went to Nasugbu with a few of my friends and came home giving birth to our new brainchild [that doesn't sound too good], Midnight Radio. It's a band, all of you know it already anyway. Well, what's important is I'm back to business. :)) [Although my daily schedule is pretty much a disaster right now. My brother's contract has ended and he'll be in the house more often than not, which means less time for me on my mom's netbook. I really need the laptop now @-)]
On a completely different note, I want a DS lite. I was expecting it to be priced at around 6k but apparently it's 7.7k according to my brother. I don't know if I'm buying anymore. Maybe I should wait for the price to go down again?
And by the way, here's the link to the site: http://midnightradiomusic.tumblr.com/

All Grown Up
Grabe. Memories siguro silang tatlo. Si Drake na yung nerd. =)) May new season ata sila? I'm not sure. :))
Motion City Soundtrack
My parents really want me to take an advanced accounting seminar starting this Monday. They're not listening to my arguments and it's really frustrating. I want to go to Nasugbu, dammit. The seminar is for sophomores since accounting starts in the second year, NOT the first year. I told them I could take it next year. They said I should take it twice. WHAT THE F*CK. I want to RELAX on my last summer vacation as a high school student. It's really frustrating!
*sigh*
Good thing there's these five guys [referring to the image above]. They call themselves Motion City Soundtrack. I don't know how the heck they got that name but their songs are pretty good. I dont' know about There For Tomorrow. I don't know what I was thinking when I devoted one whole blog post just for them. They're not that good. Anyway, this band is way better. Besides, their lead singer's name is Justin. How cool is that? And look at his hair! [by the way, he's the guy in the red shirt]

Novel Writing
I am currently in the process of creating a novel yet again. I'll persevere and write the whole thing. :)) It's loosely based on my 16 years of existence. :-" Yes, I know, I've written lots of novels before, I just don't finish them. It'll be different this time. :))
And since it's loosely based on my life, all of you guys are there, but of course with changed names and stuff. It's not an autobiography, it's just based on my life. So yeah, some events do not really happen. :))
Anyway, that's about it. I'm planning on completing the whole thing by the end of summer vacation. :)) [That means, deadline is June 7, last day of summer vacation.]
Habits Down The Drain
It's true that it's harder to stop doing than to persevere and do the same thing again and again and again, especially in studying. [It's not true in the case of addiction though.]
My daily routine is like this...
- I wake up.
- Have breakfast, play PS2 and watch NBA when it's in the 4th quarter already. Read the newspaper. [in no particular order]
- Have lunch.
- iKnow
- Kumon
- Chat/FF7/GBA/Starcraft/Watch Movie or Series
- Have dinner.
- Chat/GBA/Starcraft
- Go offline.
- Read a book until I become drowsy enough.
- Pray.
- Sleep.
That has been my life so far this summer. But what happened? iKnow got busted and the routine was disrupted [it rhymed lol]. Because of that one disruption, the whole process is affected. I'm not motivated enough to do my Kumon if I don't do my iKnow. Hmm... that's basically it, but now that I didn't do my Kumon for one single day, it went back to it's really boring state. iKnow is back but I missed it yesterday since I was too unmotivated. In the end, I don't do my iKnow and I don't do my Kumon. And that's bad.
I struggled for a while with my routine but I'm trying to make it work again. I went to the Kumon center earlier this afternoon and did some iKnow when I returned home. Hopefully this would continue on for the days to come.
I'm going to Pao's house tomorrow so I guess the iKnow and the Kumon thing would be put off 'til evening. Which means less time for Starcraft. :(
Starcraft had a huge influence too. I don't really think about playing GBA or FF7 anymore because of Starcraft. It's just too addicting. @_@ Well, at least I'm getting better at it. [I think] unlike Monpee.

Comment Box
It's really a big deal for me when you comment on the post but put it on YM. That's what the comment box is for. Why are you ignoring the wonderful invention?
I commend Regal for constantly posting witty comments on certain things. Even if they are so random, but if you think about it, it actually makes sense [well, not all the time].
Stop the Comparing, Stop the Complaining
"There is no such thing as a useless blog post. No matter how short, ineexpress mo ung ideas mo eh. Eh kung hindi mo siya nilalabas, magbibuild up lang siya."
Regal reminded me via his blog post that I said that in Elora's blog. I've been kind of hypocritical without even realizing it. A little while ago [for the past week?], I've been a bit envious with others' work [Pao and Pao]. I should quote myself to myself regularly. It's not about how captivating your blogs are. It's the content that matters. :)) In this case that is. We're here to share our view, our thoughts, and our experiences. We're not here to compete on how many followers we get [Because in that case, then how you present your ideas matters more].
My point is, the worst thing you could do is to compare yourself with other people. This means two things, you'll see people who you think are worse than you, AND people who you think are better than you. You become vain and envious, which could lead to depression, or something. If you stop comparing yourself with other people, you become more confident about yourself. The more you become confident about yourself, the bigger the success you would achieve. :)
On a side note, Nuggets win 126-113! They're one step closer to winning the championship. \:D/

Denver Nuggets: 2009-2010 Champs
Playoffs start Sunday night [in our case, April 19, Monday morning] and everyone's excited [well, at least to the guys who follow the happenings around the NBA]. It's not a surprise that most people believe that the Cleveland Cavaliers, spearheaded by the soon-to-be two-in-a-row MVP LeBron James, will win this season's Larry O'Brien Trophy. So why does my bracket illustrate that the Denver Nuggets will win?
---------------Boring part starts here. Non-NBA Fans, skip to the next set of broken lines.---------------
First of all, the bracket here is not what I think will happen, but rather what I want to happen. So, what do I think will happen? What will happen is that the Lakers would face off the Caveliers in the finals. The latter would win the championship.
I like the Lakers, especially Kobe. He's my favorite player of the game. Then why am I going for the Denver Nuggets? It would be nice for the Lakers to win consecutive trophies [like what they did when Shaq was still with them] but wouldn't it be nicer if some team, not really thought by the people of winning the championship, wins the championship? It would already seem like a cliche if the Lakers would win. I mean, they always win. The Denver Nuggets are a great group of guys. Chauncey Billups, Kenyon Martin, JR Smith, Chris Andersen, Ty Lawson, Arron Afflalo, and of course, Carmelo Anthony. These people are awesome, and they haven't gotten a ring yet [except for Chauncey Billups, I guess]. They're a really formidable team and I guess they deserve a championship at this time.
Anyway, key matchups:
FIRST ROUND
Celtics VS Heat - I don't know. Maybe I'm just tired of watching the Celtics? The Big Four [Garnett, Pierce, Allen, Rondo] is a huge force, but... argh. It seems like the C's are just chilling out. Maybe they just went on the championship push two years ago and didn't give much of a damn anymore. That's probably what will make the Celtics get eliminated early.
Lakers VS Thunder - The Lakers would have a hard time with the Thunder because of the latter's impenetrable defence. Sefolosha has guarded many superstars, including Kobe. Kobe would be really bothered by this guy's defense. Durant would also deliver so many points like what he did in the regular season. He has the scoring title after all [I think]. The Lakers would still win it though but it will probably take time, like what happened to the Boston VS Chicago series last year.
Mavericks VS Spurs - The Mavs have more key players now with the addition of Stevenson, Haywood and Butler. The Spurs... not much change, but Tim Duncan's stats are down compared to his previous years. Parker's PPG is also down. The two would need to regroup if they'd want to win. Well, the Mavs beat the Spurs in the first round last year, so how hard could it be for them to beat them again? They'd have to watch out for Manu Ginobili though, because he's red hot.
CONFERENCE SEMIFINALS
Lakers VS Nuggets - Because of the Lakers' long battle with the Thunder, their players would be physically and mentally drained. The Nuggets could take advantage of this situation. I presume that the first round would be a breeze for them since the Blazers are unhealthy. [4-1 perhaps?] They faced each other in the conference finals last year and that series would have given the Nuggets valuable lessons. If they apply what they learn, maybe, just maybe, the Nuggets could sneak past Kobe and the Lakers.
Mavericks VS Suns - This matchup would revive the rivalry they had with each other a few years ago. Steve Nash, at the age of 36, is still a great playmaker and scorer. Stoudemire leads the league in points in the paint. And Frye has a sky-high 3-point field goal rating. The Suns should watch out for the Mavs' guards though [Kidd, Terry, Barea, and Beaubois]. And of course, Dirk Nowitzki. The two teams know each other a lot. So this should be an interesting series.
CONFERENCE FINALS
Cavaliers VS Magic - They've met each other at the exact same situation last year and the Magic shocked the world by eliminating top-seeded Caveliers. I know the Magic has been a really excellent team of late but I don't think LeBron and his Cavs would let their opponent to eliminate them again. This time, they have Shaq to face Superman. He may be old, but he's still tough.
NBA FINALS
Nuggets VS Cavaliers - Well, yeah. It's pretty obvious that Cleveland is the better team. LeBron can easily eat the Nuggets up [WTF?] There's a really huge probability that the Cavs would win against the Nuggets, but who knows?
Hmm... That was a looooong post. I feel like a blogger for NBA, like Seikou Smith are something. :))
---------------Boring part ends here. Your eyes have been saved from text walls.---------------
On a completely different note, there was a looooong blackout last night. Interesting. I could make that like a symbolism or something. The reason why this blog post is so long is because the blackout last night is so long! [right.] Anyway, it lasted around 8 hours. EIGHT F*CKING HOURS. :| Started at 11PM. I couldn't sleep! But for some reason, I fell asleep at around 3:30AM. I woke up at 7:30AM and I wanted so bad to turn the aircon on and sleep for five more hours... but I didn't. I don't know why.
Anyway, that's it for now. This had been an update on my thoughts.

Movie Weekend
We watched Clash of the Titans last Saturday, then watched Alice in Wonderland yesterday. Yes, I know, we're pretty late in watching Alice. I liked Clash of the Titans more. It's probably because I admire Greek Mythology, although it's not very accurate. Next movie, How To Train Your Dragon.
@Ivan and Elora: Oo na agree na ako. Maganda na yung babae sa Clash. =))
P.S. I went back to the good ol' layout I used way back. :)) The blog is wider too, which means bigger images \:D/ Now I'm off to Kumon and Jap-ing.

Hunting Snakes
Monpee's course in DLSU will be BS CS and I suggested that he check out some programming languages so he would understand the framework of programming somehow. Python is the simplest programming language I've ever encountered and I thought sharing it to Monpee would be a great idea. So I did. Yes, I know, it's boring to study during summer but if you're really interested in what you're studying, then why would it be boring? I'm studying Japanese and playing the guitar and piano but it sure isn't boring because I enjoy these activities. If it would be boring for Monpee, then what would he feel for the next four years? How about when he's already working?
I don't know about the other courses though. My brother knows a hell of a lot about programming, so I know a bit. And what I learn from his books (and e-books), I try to pass on to others who may be needing it. Besides, I wanted to get a degree in Computer Science too. I wanted to work for Square Enix or Blizzard and create games. [or at least, write their codes]
Well, not anymore. Last summer, I consulted my parents on what course to take - what they think is right for me. They said I should take Actuarial Science [boring statistics sh!t] or Accountancy. BS Accountancy was a great idea since my dad is a CPA. I'd have an advantage in class and in my career. I'd ask for guidance in a lot of things, or maybe even get help getting a job. I could even end up working for him, in that case, my salary would virtually be my allowance. With bonuses and benefits. And thanks to Ms. Mariel's class, I realized that I actually do enjoy accounting. Yup. I'm definitely taking accountancy.
That was a pretty long [and boring] blog post. It's been a while since I've posted something like this. If you are one of the few people who actually read the whole thing, then kudos. [Yup, it's probably Pao. :))]

There For Tomorrow
It's been a while since I last got new music. There are two major reasons for that: (1) I seldom use my external hard drive lately where my music library is located, and (2) the only music I've been hearing recently is the music coming from the GBA. I'm such a loser.
Anyway, I discovered this new band, There For Tomorrow. They're alternative, just the way I like it. :))

Hapberday \:D/
It was my birthday yesterday and I finally went out of the house for the first time since graduation. That's... I don't know how many days but I'm pretty sure it's more than a week. This ended my self-quarantine but I don't think I should start going out just yet. But, meh. It's boring staying inside. @-)
And by the way, thanks to those who greeted. :))

First doesn't mean best.
I've been blogging for a while now but I can't say that I'm the most skilled at it. I seem to lack the wit to create an interesting presentation of ideas and the wisdom to recognize the interesting things that are ought to be shared. What do I get? Less comments.
It's really odd yet so natural that the pioneers of blogging for our little circle of friends is also the most boring blogger around. I really don't know how to present what I find interesting in an interesting way. I just type, type and type. I don't bother to stop and think about what I should say. I just type whatever comes into my head. This is like a chest where I keep my thoughts. It's an open chest, anyone can read it (but few are chosen to be given the URL). The population of people blogging is rising and I am yet to become an interesting blogger. [See how many times I've mentioned the word "interesting"?] The two Paos were the greatest so far, BTW. :)) Kudos!

Darn it, Entei. Why won't you just magically appear before me in a grassy area like Raikou did. That would be a lot more convenient. :-L
On a completely irrelevant note, my friends started making these blogs. Maybe that means more traffic on my side of the blogging world? :)) The more people who decide to blog, the bigger probability that a person will stay blogging. [Did you get the logic there? Or would you rather do the math?] Let's just hope that actually happens. You know, people staying blogging. Anyway. I'm off to find this missing dog. Kudos to those whosee through sickness continue blogging. [Hindi ung papramis na magbblog sabay iiwan ng matagal na panahon tas di na babasahin ung blog ng iba.]
P.S. Is it just me or is the Entei above look really young?

My mom got the netbook and told me I should do my Kumon since she'd bring it to the center tomorrow. I checked my Kumon and the date was 3/24. Well, how am I supposed to answer that many worksheets? I'm resting now after two days worth of Kumon. Mom's making dinner and I think she'll get this netbook back after that. That means more Kumon for me. *sigh*
What's with Kumon anyway. I don't care about it anymore. Why can't I just un-enroll? *frustrated*
I'm having a productive conversation with my best friend.
I don't know why but this happens very seldom nowadays. :))

Pokemon Crystal
I downloaded a GBA emulator several months ago so that I could play Pokemon Red. Why Advanced? Coz I figured that after playing the game, I'll go downloading GBA games since I don't have a real GBA. I played the game for a while and stopped entirely. When we went to Nasugbu, we talked so much about Pokemon for some reason. When I got home, I created a new game on Red. I downloaded Pokemon Crystal after finding an unavoidable lv13 Pinsir in Viridian Forest, which sucks. Anyway, now I'm playing Crystal and I'm enjoying it. That's partially why I haven't been playing the piano anymore :))
Earlier today, I downloaded other games for my GBA, like a Super Mario game and the Japanese version Final Fantasy I & II. Maybe that would motivate me to continue learning the language again. :)

Classical Music Leave
I don't know when I'll be going to play the piano again. I don't feel like it recently. I haven't watched Nodame recently either. So what am I up to? Other than going to Pao's house, [and using his awesome drumset] I've been practicing more on the lead guitar and playing Pokemon Crystal [gastly \:D/]. Well, it's really good to be doing lead but it's really not helping with the playing the piano part. I've noticed that it's either I practice the piano or practice the lead guitar. It's never both. What a dilemma @-)
P.S. I'll probably post something Pokemon-related next. =))

Disruption in the Routine
It's true that it's hard to get back to what you normally do regularly if you won't do it even for a day. Seven days ago, it was Appreciation Night. From 8AM in the morning until 10PM in the evening I wasn't home. It was too late to play the piano and I was too tired to blog. For the next two days, I was either on the road or at Pao's house in Nasugbu, Batangas. It was fun, but the lag in my routine was really bothersome. That's two more days off of blogging and playing the piano. The result? Sloth. And lots of it. For seven days I haven't been taking blogging or playing the piano seriously. I haven't even been clipping my nails. Gross.
Anyway, I won't be playing the piano later tonight either. Maybe if I watch some more Nodame Cantabile, I'd get motivated again. As for blogging, there are so many topics available. All I need is to re-train myself to blog regularly.

Islamey
Islamey is a piece composed by a Russian virtuoso named Mily Balakirev. Many claim that it is one of the most difficult pieces ever composed. How difficult? Alexander Scriabin (that dude who had synesthesia) permanently damaged his right hand practicing the piece. Even Barakirev himself once admitted that there were some parts he "couldn't manage". The composer himself couldn't play his own damn piece. What the hell? Valentina Lisitsa could play it so gracefully though. =))
It's not the most elegant piece I've listened to but yeah, it's one hell of a piece.
Youtube won't let me embed the video here though. :-L Here's the link instead.

Bored.
There's some dude fixing one of our bathrooms and it's noisy as hell. What's worse is that I'm suffocating here in my parents' room, so I went to the terrace and read a book.
I went back inside when the bathroom was done. I found out that more people were online now so I'm thinking of staying inside. :))
First day out of high school and I'm already bored.

Ms. Sandra is apologizing to me. =)))))
For a minute there, I felt some sense of superiority. It's not everyday that a teacher will apologize to you, not the other way around. :))
So yun, exempted ako sa math. \:D/

Valentina Lisitsa
Why didn't I find you sooner? You're the best pianist on YouTube. @_@
Tumulo laway ko. Seryoso. =)) Probably because her Fur Elise. It was the most awesome Fur Elise I've heard. I'm in awe.
Sorry, guys. Puro classical recently. Nakakaadik eh. =))

One down.
You all know that it's the finals already and the exams earlier were Computer, Basic Accounting, Automotive and PE in that order. Luckily for me, I only took the last one. [Exempted sa ibaaa \:D/] It was a fun day. Regal would have missed his Computer exam, in a sense that he thought he was exempted, but he found out he actually wasn't, then again he found that he WAS exempted. Bottom line is.. he's exempted.
We also finally got our last two LTs in Physics. Of course I failed the last one but who didn't? =))
Tomorrow is Physics and CL. I'm exempted in CL. I thought I was exempted in Physics, too :( I haven't studied yet. Too much piano. @-)
And yeah, Paramore tomorrow. \m/

More Chopin Please!
My uncle's family came over for lunch since it was my dad's birthday. I played the piano with my cousin and we talked about classical music. Before, I was the guy with the most knowledge on the topic. Now, he knows more about it and I'm asking him! It should be the other way around! I'm so pathetic!
Well, he's in the college of music for some time now so I'm not really disappointed. Look on the bright side, he has access to a music library full of piano scores, which means I can ask for music sheets. \:D/
Summary: I've become more interested in classical music, and here's another Chopin etude. It's called "Winter Wind". \m/

Coincidence. That's all anything ever is. Nothing more than coincidence.
Tom: She took a giant shit on my face. Literally.
Alison: Literally?
Tom: Well, no, not literally. That's disgusting. Jesus, what's wrong with you?
I've finally watched it! Finally! They were right, it was a pretty good movie... although I'd say it's a bit overrated. (Kung bagay daw ung movie sa akin, no comment na ako) Thanks to Lorenz for letting me borrow his copy. :)

Theses. Part 2.
I'm done with Filipino so I guess the title should be something like "Thesis." Anyway...
It's 9:38 PM at the moment of typing and I'm yet to produce 50% more of Reading. [done with the cards, TP, FP, Outline, First three parts of Chapter 1. Around 5 more parts to go!]
What's worse is that I have no idea yet how I'm going to print all of these. I also don't know how I'll manage to get a decent score for the Physics Long Test tomorrow since I haven't studied AT ALL.
Well, at least I've done one objective already...
[X] Buy a purple shirt.
Hmm.. why am I even blogging. I'm just wasting time, dammit!

Theses.
That's the plural form of thesis by the way. [I think.]
I'm listening to Brahms' First Symphony, the one he composed for around twenty effing years. But who cares about that...
Homeworks? A bunch of theses. Filipino Thesis. Reading Thesis. [why the heck do we need reading?] I should be doing the Reading Thesis now, which is due on Friday. I haven't even done the body yet [same with Regal]. Take note, I've been using "I". That's because I really don't know if I have a partner. He's too... well... indifferent.
8:51 PM. TiK ToK. I have around 28 hours to complete the Reading Thesis. As for the Filipino Thesis, I'll be depending on Emil's progress. Maybe I could help by providing the synthesis of each chapter. Yeah, that would be nice. [Lalaki Sa Dilim, one of the best Filipino novels.]
